Barbara J. Kreeger, 92, of Venice, Fla. and formerly of Kalamazoo, passed away March 11, 2012 at her home. She was born Feb. 29, 1920 in Kalamazoo to the late Otto and Lillian (Falk) Buder. Her father, Otto, was the sheriff for Kalamazoo County for many years. She was united in marriage to her loving husband, John W. Kreeger, on Nov. 10, 1939. Barbara, with her husband John, owned Green Top Tavern and Red-E-Coin Laundromat for many years. She was also employed with Western Michigan University for some time. Barb loved playing cards, bowling, golf and most of all, her family. Daughter Carol, son John and husband John feel she was the best mom and wife ever, never saying an unkind word to or about anyone. She will be sorely missed. Surviving Barbara are her husband, John William Kreeger, Sr. of Venice, Fla.; children, Carol Jeanne (Jack) Butler of Venice, Fla. and John William Kreeger, Jr. of Three Rivers; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Carol (Jackie) Buder of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Barbara in death was a brother, Otto K. Buder, Jr. A memorial service may be announced at a later date. Arrangements by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
