Sharon Stuth, 65

Sharon M. Stuth, age 65, of Colon, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

Sharon was born Sept. 13, 1946, in Chicago, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Nagowski) Majors.

Sharon grew up in Chicago, graduating from Lindblom High School with the class of 1964.

On Sept. 13, 1980, she married Elmer Stuth in Cicero, Ill.

She had made her home in Colon for the past 22 years, coming from Cicero. Sharon had worked at the Colon Schools and later for the Colmer Company, from where she retired.

Sharon was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Colon.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer, of Colon; a daughter, Jenny (Eric) Scheinfeldt of Dallas; two stepsons, Dennis and Thomas Stuth of Illinois; a stepgranddaughter, Taryn Stuth; and a sister, Sandy (Dennis) Bean of Illinois.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon. Funeral services celebrating the life of Sharon M. Stuth will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Mr. David J. Farrell officiating. A committal service and burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon.

If desired, the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Sharon to Animal Rescue Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
