Betty Cooper, 85

Betty Jean Cooper, age 85, of Burr Oak, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.

She was born March 8, 1927, in Three Rivers, a daughter of the late Leon E. and Melva (Blank) Kline.

Betty had resided in Burr Oak most of her adult life and had been employed at Shadow Interiors in Shipshewana, Ind., for 10 years. She was very active in the Sturgis Moose Auxiliary #613, where she enjoyed calling bingo.

Surviving are a son, Tony (Donette) Cooper of Burr Oak; three grandchildren, Justin Cooper, who is attending Ferris State University, Brooke and Kaitlin Cooper, both of Burr Oak; and a brother:, Warren “Bud” Kline of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lyle; and a sister, Ilah Rosenbaum.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at Hackman Family Funeral Home — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis.

Services celebrating the life of Betty Jean Cooper will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Mr. Larry Wallman officiating.

Graveside services and interment will follow in Burr Oak Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
