S. Thomas Wilson, 70, of Three Rivers, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 22, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Jack and Floy (Hurley) Maer. On Aug. 15, 1986 in Adrian he married Marilyn Heiden Jackson and she survives. Thomas and Marilyn were the co-owners of Sunshine Care Home, retiring in March of 2012. Thomas dedicated his life to helping others and making a significant difference in the lives of many people. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, whose greatest passion was spending time with his family. He loved to spend time gardening and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Marilyn, he is survived by two sons, Richard Wilson of Atlanta, Ga. and Ryan (Nicole) Jackson of Tontogony, Ohio; one daughter, Renee (Lud Seaman) Warner of Hudson; one brother, Jonathan Wilson; and two sisters, Sue Richardson and Janice Wilson; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Warner (Danielle), Zachary Warner (Katelyn), Jacob, Lilly and Zach; and several nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, O.D.; and one sister, Margo.
Funeral services for Thomas will be on Saturday, June 2 at 1 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Adrian with Rev. Paul Herter officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church.
