Three Rivers Police issued a citation to an Illinois man for attempting to sell magazine subscriptions without a permit.
Police said upon further investigation, the man was suspected to be one of nine people involved in an attempted home invasion incident currently under investigation by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
He was located in the 600 block of West Broadway Street after police received a call from a resident suspicious about the man’s activities.
Police are reminding the public that any door-to-door salesperson must have a city-issued solicitor’s permit.
