Noble Pittman, 89

Noble B. Pittman, 89, of Marcellus, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers. He was born on Nov. 2, 1922 in Enta Green, Ind. the son of Roscoe and Hazel (Mellott) Pittman. Marcellus resident since 1946 when he purchased his farm. He farmed until 1993. He was also employed by the Weyerhaeuser Paper Company, Good Manufacturing in Constantine, Alexander Livestock Sales Barn, and was a transporter for the St. Joseph County Juvenile Court System. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and raised bees and sold honey.

Married Mary D. Kline on Sept. 15, 1957 in Constantine. She died on Nov. 19, 2011.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy E. (James Jr.) Jacobs of Three Rivers; son, David N. (Connie) Pittman of Marcellus; two grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew Jacobs; brother, Andy (Mary) Pittman of Kinde; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brothers, Elias and Chester.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Eickhoff, Farrand, Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers where services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13 with Pastor Jay Bailey of the Three Rivers Bible Church officiating. Interment will be in Mottville Township Cemetery. Donations may be directed to Southern Care Hospice or Riverview Manor Resident Activities.
