Aletha J. Baldwin, age 78, of Constantine, passed away Friday, June 29th, 2012 at Three Rivers Health. She was born in St. Joseph County, MI on June 3, 1934, a daughter of Alfred and Hazel (Oldenburg) Walls Sr. Aletha retired as a Quality Control Inspector at Kirsch Company in Sturgis. She also worked as a teachers aid at Constantine Public Schools. Aletha was a former Girl Scout Leader and was always available to help the neighborhood families and children.
Surviving are her daughters Debbie (Philip) Moore of Edon, OH, Cindy Baldwin of Constantine, sons David (Rhonda) Baldwin of Edwardsburg, Todd Baldwin of the Phillipines, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, brother Almon (Nancy) Walls of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Alfred Jr., Roger and Warner and sister Pauline Caulkins.
Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday from 9 – 11 A.M. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine where Religious Services will follow at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Constantine Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Constantine Food Bank.
