Louise A. Pletcher, 92, of White Pigeon, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born May 5, 1920 a daughter to Glen W. and Hattie (Wilson) Line.
On June 15, 1941, she married Harry L. Pletcher in Elkhart, Ind.
She was a resident of Marl Lake in White Pigeon since 1969, coming from Elkhart, Ind. In her early life, she did baking and catering and worked for the Elkhart Community Schools. She was a receptionist at the doctor offices of Dr. Houghton and Dr. Mutnal in White Pigeon and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Elkhart, Ind., a member of the Alba Columba Club in White Pigeon and the Mr. and Mrs. Club in Elkhart, Ind. She enjoyed entertaining and her family and friends the most.
Surviving are her husband, Harry L. Pletcher of White Pigeon; three sons, Phil (Nancy) Pletcher of Bristol, Ind., Steven (Linda) Pletcher of White Pigeon and Timm (Kay) Pletcher of White Pigeon; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jamie Pletcher.
Relative and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church in Elkhart, Ind., where services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Keith McFarren officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
