Three people last week were charged with methamphetamine-related offenses after a search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 69000 block of Sevison Road in White Pigeon Township.
According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, deputies arrived at the residence around 8 p.m. Friday to serve an arrest warrant. A person spotted inside the residence, however, refused to answer the door, police said.
Aided by troopers from the Michigan State Police detachment at White Pigeon, deputies surrounded the residence and obtained a search warrant. Once inside, law-enforcement officials located the wanted subject and two other people.
The trio was arrested after an investigation lead to the discovery of methamphetamine, two meth labs and a firearm inside the residence.
All three suspects were lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of operating and maintaining a meth lab, possession of meth and maintaining a drug house. In addition, one man was charged with felony firearms. Their names were not released, pending arraignment.
Cleanup of the hazardous materials was performed by the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics Team.
