Douglas Lee Conley, age 54, of Bronson, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at his home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1957, in Sturgis, a son of the late Melvin and Shirley (Bauder) Conley.
Doug resided in the Bronson area for many years. His early life was lived in Sturgis.
He had been employed by Grow Alliance Company in Howe, Ind., and was baptized at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sturgis.
Doug enjoyed playing video games, working on cars and loved his 1968 Chevy Chevelle.
Doug is survived by two sons, Matthew Pontius and Andrew Pontius, both of Bronson; a sister, Christine Marie Woodworth of Mongo, Ind.; two brothers, Junior Conley of Rome City, Ind., and Thomas Eugene Conley of Orland, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. A graveside service and burial will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak. Pastor Brian Bowen will officiate.
