Roger Hipskind, 75

Roger A. Hipskind, 75, of Three Rivers, passed away on Sunday Aug. 5, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born Jan. 21, 1937 in Elkhart to Howard and Katherine (Ives) Hipskind.

He married Carrol Sue Graves in Elkhart on Dec. 23, 1955. He is survived by his wife, Carrol Hipskind; sons, Allen D. (Amy) Hipskind, Steven T. (Becky) Hipskind and Patrick R. Hipskind; sister, Kathy (James) Getz; brother, Larry (Carolyn) Hipskind; grandchildren, Dustin (Sara) Hipskind, Courtney (Matt) Gillett, Jessica Hipskind, Ashleigh Hipskind, Scott Wells, Jennifer Wells; great-grandchildren Koveigh Wells and Eleanor Wells. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Katherine Hipskind and a nephew Matthew Getz.

He worked in the tool and die trade all his life at various manufacturing facilities. There will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services. Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
