Robert D. “Bob” Vanderhoof, 67, of Marcellus, passed away at home Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012.
He was born May 12, 1945 in Three Rivers, the son of Henry D. and Marion A. (Welburn) Vanderhoof. On June 4, 1966 in Three Rivers, he married Josephine “Joey” Draime , who survives.
He graduated from Marcellus High School in 1963 and then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, was a Lineman for 37 years with Fruitbelt Electric, which later changed to Midwest Energy. He was a life member of the Marcellus V.F.W. Post 4054, Three Rivers Moose Lodge 474 and the AmVets Post 188 in Baldwin.
Surviving besides his wife, Joey, are three daughters, Shelly (Glen) Head of Sodus, Valerie (Steven) Tripp of Lawton and Alicia Ritchie of Kalamazoo; one son, Tim (Kristy) Vanderhoof of Galesburg; one brother, Gerald (Bonnie) Vanderhoof of Cosby, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 at the Marcellus V.F.W. Post # 4054 with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Marcellus Fire and Ambulance.
Arrangements were handled by the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus.
