Delmar Keeslar, 59

Delmar E. Keeslar, 59, of Sturgis, passed away Sept. 7, 2012, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, following a long battle with Crohn’s disease.

He was born Aug. 13, 1953, in Angola, Ind., the son of Jacque and Lilya Keeslar.

On Sept. 8 2000, he married Joanne Keeslar in Sturgis.

He was raised in Fawn River Township and lived in Sturgis after that. He worked for Vanguard LLC in Colon, Frye and LTI Cardinal IG. He was a very caring person and a hard-working man. He was a good neighbor and friend to many.

Surviving are his loving wife of 12 years, Joanne; a son, John Keeslar; stepchildren Christopher (Meaghan) Neihardt and Erica (James) Knapp; two sisters, Mary Cruea and Deb Wheaton; two brothers, David Caffereta and Richard Hitcher; a cousin, Andy Grudrups; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Stubig.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service.
