Victor C. Hostetler, age 65, of Three Rivers, passed away Thursday, September 20th, 2012 at his home. He was born in Sturgis, MI on October 18, 1946, a son of Bud and Betty (Easterday) Hostetler. Victor graduated from Constantine High School in 1965. On October 30, 1992 Victor married Cheryl Moodie in Union, Michigan. He worked as a purchasing agent and fleet manager at Medtec Ambulance retiring in 2006. Victor previously worked at Owens-Illinois in Constantine. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Constantine and the Three Rivers Eagles. Victor also served many years on the Constantine Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife Cheryl Hostetler of Three Rivers, sons Mark Hostetler of Constantine, Tim (Ashley) Fair of Elkhart, daughter Jill of Elkhart, step sons Rick (Dana) Fair of Kalamazoo, Steve ( Missy) Fair of Streetsboro, OH, sister Carol (John) Davis of Union, grandchildren Courtney and John Anthony, 5 step grandchildren, uncle Ernie (Pat) Easterday of Mendon, a niece and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday September 29th from 1 – 3 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. A reception will follow at the Constantine American Legion. Memorial contributions may be made to Borgess Hospice or St. Joseph Co. Animal Rescue Fund.
