Bob Lytle, 83

Robert E. Lytle, 83, of Nottawa, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Centreville after receiving excellent care.

Bob was born May 17, 1929 in Gary, Ind. a son to the late Lynn and Cleo M. (Thomson) Lytle. He graduated in 1948 from Lew Wallace High School and moved to Michigan in 1949.

He was employed at Peterson Spring in Three Rivers before starting a 31-year career with the U.S. Postal Service, the last 16 as Postmaster in Nottawa.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Yearling) Lytle of Nottawa, whom he married in Centreville on Feb. 24, 1951. Also surviving are a daughter, Jerilee (Dan) Halon of Three Rivers; son, Douglas (Roberta) Lytle of Columbia City, Ind.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Lytle, in July of 2012; two sisters, Margaret Jackson and Georgia Rempis.

There will be no visitation or services, cremation has taken place. Private interment of ashes will take place in Lakeside Cemetery in Colon at a later date.
