Gene Foreman, 78

Gene Aldon Foreman, 78, Constantine, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born July 12, 1934, in Mottville, a son of Elmer and Louise (Papke) Foreman. He had been a resident of Constantine Township since 1977.

On April 11, 1969, he married Wilma K. Cleveland in Centreville.

He was employed by Metlock in Elkhart, Ind., as a welder and a foreman in shipping and painting.

He was a member of New Life Christian Center, a chapter leader of the John Birch Society and a member of the NRA. He enjoyed the water, boating, fishing and his guns.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma K. Foreman of Constantine; two daughters, Connie L. (Tim) Wagner of White Pigeon and Daleleen K. Fickert of White Pigeon; a son, Kirk D. Foreman of Constantine; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and seven brothers and sisters.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Church in Three Rivers, with the Rev. Dwight Gosser officiating. Interment will follow in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.

Donations may be directed to Riverside Church in Three Rivers. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
