Thomas Eugene Landrum, born July 19, 1956, went to be with his Lord on Oct. 20, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. Many know Tom as the owner of Lovell Auto Service in Schoolcraft, which his father, John C. Landrum Sr., established in 1978. Tom took over the family business in 1983 and faithfully served the community for 29 years. Tom had a servant’s heart and many were touched by this. He rarely missed an opportunity to help those in need. Tom was also a man of adventure, which led to his many hobbies over the years. He had a passion for various forms of racing, hunting and fishing, motorcycling, and snowmobiling, as well as all around exploration. Tom was a born-again Christian of 18 years. His life was a tribute to the grace of God.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, John Landrum Sr.; his biological mother, Donna Shrock; brother, John Landrum Jr. He is survived by his dear wife of 21 years, Margaret; son, Kreig; mother, Marian Landrum; brother, David (Lorna) Landrum, Michael Landrum, Charlie (Carol) Landrum, Tim (Bonnie) Landrum; sisters, Sheri Levering, Angie Landrum, Kim Landrum and Sally (Gary) Belote.
Tom will be sorely missed, yet we rejoice in the fact that he now resides with his Lord and Savior.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for Oct. 25 at the Temple Baptist Church in Three Rivers. Visitation with the family will begin at 4 p.m.; the Memorial Service will begin at 5 p.m. and dinner will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Temple Baptist Church or Victory Junction Gang Camp.
