Michael Dean German, 55, Kissimmee, Fla., and formerly of Colon, passed away Oct. 2, 2012, in Orlando, Fla.
He was born Feb. 23, 1957, the son of Terrance and Janis (Michael) German in Sturgis, Mich. In 1983, he married Vicky Miller in Colon and together they had a daughter Whitney and later divorced.
For several years, Mike worked as an auto painter for Hemels Chevrolet, Riverside Van Conversion and then fulfilled his dream. He started his own business, Rainbow Auto Body. Mike had an artistic talent when it came to painting. In his spare time, Mike could be found on a lake fishing or in the woods hunting.
He will be missed by his family: a daughter, Whitney German of Colon; his father, Terrance German of Sturgis; three sisters, Charlene (Brian) Grew of Melbourne, Fla., Vickie (Michael) Blanchard of Califon, N.J., and Lori (Benjamin) Alexander of White Pigeon; two aunts; four nieces; three nephews; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janis German; and grandparents Lyle and Bernice Michael.
A memorial service for Mike is Nov. 10, 2012, at Church of Christ in Colon. Visitation is 1-2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m. Minister David Porter will officiate.
