Dorothy Lintemoot, 94

Dorothy Eleanor Lintemoot, age 94, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully at Riverview Manor on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. She was born in Three Rivers, MI., on July 29, 1918 the daughter of the late Roscoe M. and Mamie L. (Boyer) Longenecker.

Dorothy attended Three Rivers Schools and was united in marriage to Robert R. Lintemoot Sr., on Feb. 27, 1938 in Kendallville, IN. Dorothy was formerly employed by Eddy-Kiekhefer Milk Carton Division and later worked for several retail stores in downtown Three Rivers.

Mrs. Lintemoot was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church, taught literacy programs, was a volunteer with the Three Rivers Hospital Auxiliary, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and the March of Dimes. Dorothy enjoyed doing ceramics, playing cards, and was an excellent cook and homemaker.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, one sister, Marian (Nicholas) Pappas, brother, Roscoe Longenecker, two son-in-laws, Glen Knight and Byron Bolton and one grandchild, Kelle’ Knight.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son, Robert (Elazan) Lintemoot, of Three Rivers; three daughters, Barbara Clarren, of Centerville,OH ., Janet Knight, of Honolulu, HI., and Gail Bolton, of Chandler, AZ.; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Joyce Longenecker and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be donated to St. John’s Lutheran Church or Riverview Manor Auxiliary. Envelopes available at the Hohner Funeral Home in care of Dorothy’s arrangements.
