Norman W. Haas, 80, of Quincy, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at the Laurels of Coldwater.
He was born June 6, 1932 in Three Rivers to Edward “LeRoy” and Pauline (Ranck) Haas. Norm graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1950 and served the US Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the lumber insurance business most of his life, traveling 10 years through the state of Texas for Indiana Lumberman’s Mutual, then in Mississippi for 10 years, and finally traveling throughout the state of Michigan until he retired.
In retirement, he and his wife bought, sold and promoted antique shows.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Chapman) Haas, whom he married June 11, 1955; one son, Jeffrey Haas of Jackson, Miss.; one sister, Ellen Haas of Three Rivers; one brother, Paul Haas of Dallas, Texas; and two grandsons, Brad and Ryan Haas. He was preceded in death by two brothers (Russell and Kenward Haas) and one sister (Donna Jean Haas).
A celebration of Norm’s life will be held at a later date.
