Ruby Grace Hall, age 94, of Jones, died Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 at Cass County Medical Care Facility in Cassopolis, MI. She had been in declining health for two years. Ruby was born in Elkhart County, IN, on November 8, 1918 to Clarence and Dessie (Walker) Blough. On February 16, 1941 she married Chester George Hall at Chapel Hill Missionary Church. He preceded her in death May 11, 2004.
Ruby was a member of Chapel Hill Missionary Church. Living near the church gave her the opportunity to host evangelists and missionaries. She served in various capacities at church as custodian, Sunday School teacher, children’s ministry, and most notably as the Teen Bible Quiz coach. She took teams to many competitions in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, resulting in MYFI competitions in California, Canada, Montana, Oklahoma and S. Dakota. Her main passion was the family farm where she worked many hard long days. She was able to out work a good man and both sons.
Surviving Ruby are her daughters Barbara (Larry) Miller, Union, Marilyn (Richard) Frey, Middlebury, son Dale (Janelle) Hall, Jones, 12 grandchildren, Tamara (Rick) Watts, Matt (Jill) Frey, Aimmee Mullendore, Josh (Laura) Frey, Anngee (Kyle) Evans, Sarah (Tom) Smead, Seth (Amy) Hall, Douglas Chester Hall, Ryan (Amber) Hall, Eric Hall, Shalee Hall, Levi Hall, and 22 great grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Doug Hall, daughter Connie Hall, grandson Nickolas Frey, 2 great grandsons Elijah Hall and Landon Gingerich, sisters Veldeen Kindig, Pauline Johnson, Ruth Holdeman, Thelma Steiner, and brother Harold Blough.
Relatives and friends will be received Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Hill Missionary Church, Union, MI. with Reverend Ken Bontrager officiating. Interment will be at Plum Grove Cemetery, Porter Twp., MI.
