Larry J. Umlor, age 79, of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on December 8, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Dec. 2, 1933 in Traverse City, the son of the late Clifford and Mary (Mikowski) Umlor.
Larry has been a long time resident of Three Rivers moving from Traverse City after serving in the U.S. Navy and attending school at Ferris State College, Big Rapids, MI. On June 15, 1974 Larry married Glennis (Younger) Umlor and together they raised their family in Three Rivers. He was employed for over 40 years at the Republic Roller Corp. as both a supervisor and later Vice-President of Production. Larry was an active member of the Three Rivers Moose Lodge and former member of the B.P.O.E. #1248 as well as the Three Rivers Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, and an infant child.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
