Mary Belle Flickinger, age 90, of Three Rivers passed away on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Johnstown, PA., the daughter of J. Daniel Luther and Nellie Anne (Mader) Luther.
Mary Belle moved to Three Rivers in 1927 from Pennsylvania. She graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1939. She was united in marriage to Mr. Robert C. Kramb in Oct. of 1946. She attended Western Michigan University while working at Three Rivers Public Library and graduated in 1967.
Mary Belle worked as a Librarian at Centreville Public School System for many years. Mr. Kramb passed in 1974. In Dec. 1975 Mary Belle married Frank G. Flickinger and moved to Waverly, Iowa. While there Mary Belle worked at the Welcome Wagon as a hostess for nine years and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was active on many committees. When Mr. Flinkinger passed in 2001 Mary Belle moved back to Three Rivers to be near her relatives. She became a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Mary Belle enjoyed reading, bridge, crosswords, and computer games.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two husbands, Robert C. Kramb and Frank G. Flickinger.
Mary Belle leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son, Daniel(Ernestine) Kramb, of California; two grandchildren, Mark(Renee) Kramb, of New Rivers, AZ and Michelle (Art Ackerman) Mrosewske, of Three Rivers; five great grandchildren, Austin Kramb, Shayna Kramb, Jacob Bonine, Sarah Bonine, and Johnathan Mrosewske.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan 13, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Karleen Kinker officiating. Luncheon will immediately follow in the fellowship hall.
