Leland L. Warren, 85, of Mottville Township, White Pigeon, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers following a short illness.
He was born June 21, 1927 in White Pigeon Township the son of Albert and Esther (Quick) Warren, and lived in the Mottville Township and White Pigeon area most of his life. On Aug. 7, 1948 he married Doris June Kulp in Mottville. She died on May 23, 2000.
He was a lifelong farmer, employed in trailer manufacturing for Stewart Coach in Bristol, Ind. and for Squire Homes in Constantine for 30 years, retiring in 1977. He was known for his antique cars and tractors. He was a charter member of the North East Indiana Steam and Gas Association, a charter member of the St. Joe Valley Antique Tractor Association, and several car clubs.
He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (Earl) Baldwin of White Pigeon; three sons, Kenneth (Barb) Warren, Daniel (Dian) Warren and Dallas Warren all of Mottville; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Oxender of Howe, Ind. and Lois (Norman) Perrin of Ashbey, Minn.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, David L. Warren.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon where services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry Edds of the White Pigeon Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Donations may be directed to a charity of choice.
