Lois Hoak, 89

Lois Maxine Hoak, age 89, of Three Rivers, passed away late Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Riverview Manor following a brief illness. She was born on Jan. 31, 1924 in Schoolcraft, MI., the daughter of the late, Forrest and Ethel (Romig) Burlew.

Mrs. Hoak was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willis E. Hoak, who she married on Jan. 12, 1946; one sister, June.

Mrs. Hoak truly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, and was an avid bird watcher.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two daughters, Barb (Phil) Gose and Penny (Phil) Meade, both of Three Rivers; four grandchildren, Pepper (Daniel) Schmeckpeper, Phrene (Kurt) Hoeksema, Toby (Erin) Gose and Cody Gose; five great-grandchildren, Corban, Kylan, Katerra, Corrina Schmeckpeper, and Maggie Gose.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating.

Interment will be held at Marcellus Cemetery.
