Maureen Bridget Willma, age 75, of Three Rivers, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born in Manitowac, Wisconsin, on November 8, 1937 the daughter of Cyrus Thomas and Mary Ellen Stevenson.
Maureen has been a long time resident of Three Rivers. She was employed for over thirty years as an accountant for the Three Rivers Commercial News where she befriended many people and co-workers.
Maureen had been a long time member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was very active in the Daughters of Mary. Maureen enjoyed bowling, bird watching, gardening as well as being outdoors, and was an active boy scout leader. Maureen’s greatest joy were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents, her husband James C. Willma; Two sons, Jerome Willma who passed in 1969 and Scott Willma 2006. One daughter, Mary Bridget who passed 1977.
Maureen leaves to cherish her loving memory, two daughters, Judy (Tom)Fetterley, Katherine (Tom) Brink; four sons, James Willma Jr., Mike Willma, Mark (Eavonne) Willma Sr., and Jason Willma; one sister, Katherine Stevenson; two brothers, Cyrus (Sherry) Stevenson II, and George (Patricia) Stevenson; ten grandchildren, Wendy Fetterley, Katrina (Miguel Sr.) Zamudio, Kylie Willma, Jessica (Andrew) Kennedy, Christian Bowen, Corey Matthews, Tommy Brink Jr., Marc Willma Jr., Kyle and Teagan Brink; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua Fetterley, Alexys and Miguel Jr. Zamudio, Greyson Lewis, Courtney, Peyton, Max Kennedy, and several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Sharon Jansen.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Robert Johansen as celebrant.
Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery.
