Jessica Lyn Feister, age 30, of Sturgis, passed away early Sunday morning, April 14, 2013, at Sturgis Hospital.
She was born Oct. 1, 1982, in West Palm Beach, Fla., a daughter of Kenneth and Connie (Persing) Feister.
Jessica resided in Sturgis since 1997, coming from Florida.
For the past seven years, she had been employed by Walmart in Sturgis.
Jessica was a member of Potter House Church in Sturgis and enjoyed shopping and loved going places with her daughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Kylie Marie Feister, at home; her mother, Connie Feister of Sturgis; her father, Kenneth Feister of Florida; four sisters, Kellie Stidham of Sturgis, Robbi Gottschalk of Three Rivers, Rhonda Tutewiler, serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in Heidelberg, Germany, and Randi Creiger of Three Rivers; two brothers, William Burke of Angola, Ind., and Corey Burke of Sturgis; six nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Jessica Feister will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Brian Bowen of the Potter’s House Church in Sturgis will officiate. In accordance with family wishes, cremation will follow the services.
