Karon Wohlmuth, 65

Karon L. Wohlmuth, age 65, of Burr Oak, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 19, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 27, 1947, in Indianapolis, a daughter of William and Betty (Ward) DeArmond.

The most important part of Karon’s life was raising her family and being involved in the activities of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Larry Wohlmuth; her children, Lyle Wohlmuth of Burr Oak, LeAnne (Matt) Pechulis of Kalamazoo and Lindy (Craig) Jackson of Centreville; grandchildren Damon and Taylor Wohlmuth, and Kristopher, Zachery and Parker Jackson; siblings Cheryla Watkins of Trenton, Bill (Barb) DeArmond of Hillsdale, Bob (Theresa) DeArmond of Trenton and Bev (Jim) St. Louis of Trenton; a brother-in-law, Terry Wohlmuth of Centreville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Karon also will be missed by her former co-workers at Lear, United Technology, Frank’s Nursery, and the Kirsch Company.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Sturgis Evangelical, 28201 Fawn River Road, Sturgis, where a memorial service celebrating the life of Karon L. Wohlmuth will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday. Pastor Rodger Moyer will officiate.

Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road Sturgis, is assisting the family with arrangements.
