Break-in and larceny being investigated

A break-in at a Mottville Township gas station was investigated this week by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responded shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday to the 11000 block of U.S. 12 in response to an alarm that was triggered as a result of the break-in.

A department media release did not indicate whether anything was taken from the business.

Meanwhile, the department also this week investigated two larcenies from vehicles in the 25000 block of M-86 in Nottawa Township.

The incident occurred sometime on Monday between 1:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. A car stereo, two pairs of glasses and a credit card were reported stolen.
