Carole Lee Tooker, 73, of Goshen, passed away at her home early Saturday morning, May 25, 2013. She had been ill since September 2012.
She was born December 8, 1939 in LaGrange.
She married John F. Tooker, October 22, 1976 in Sturgis, Michigan.
He survives along with a daughter, Cathy S. (Barnell) Murr of Goshen; two grandchildren, K.J. Murr of Goshen and Shelly Stafford of Mishawaka; a great-grandson, Gabriel Murr and a brother, Roger (Carol) Marks of Duluth, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ethel (VanMeter) Marks.
A Goshen resident since 2000 Mrs. Tooker worked as a realtor and broker for ReMax in Warsaw. She had also worked in the personnel department at Coachman Industries. While in Warsaw she opened a Manpower office.
A 1958 graduate of Sturgis High School, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Middlebury. She enjoyed cooking and having parties, specializing in elaborate meals, candy and wedding cakes.
Friends may call from 5 until the 7 p.m., memorial service on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Sister Nora Frost, hospital chaplain, will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
