Hello. My name is Hattie and I am a female, black lab/chow mix, about 7 years old. I weigh about 67 pounds and am very good when being walked on a leash. I also know how to sit, shake, lie down and sit up. When someone gives me a treat I take it very gently. I like people and may do best in a single pet home. Because I am a bit older, I don’t have as high an energy level as some of the younger dogs. Please come in and see me. My Docket # 11463, at the St. Joseph County Animal Control Shelter located at 652 E. Main St., Centreville, MI. Animal Control is open Monday – Friday, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The first Saturday of each month AC is open for adoptions from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon. Now through August, Animal Control is open until 7:00 pm on Wednesdays for adoptions. Their phone number is 269-467-6475. Up-Cycled Pets needs reliable foster homes so some pets can leave the shelter and learn more about living in a safe home before adoption. Go to www.upcycledpets.com for more information about how to help this group. Please visit the Animal Rescue Fund website at www.arfund.org to see more adoptable pets. ARF has now agreed to pay for the spay/neuter of an adopted Pet of the Week, at the Humane Society in Kalamazoo. If the owner wants to go to a local vet, the same amount will be given to that vet. My friend, Thurman, who was Pet of the Week last week is still at A.C. He would also love a new home.
