Diana Lee Kemp, 68, of White Pigeon, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Ind., following a brief illness.
She was born June 16, 1945, in Three Rivers, a daughter of Edward and Juanita Garn. She had been a resident of Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.
On July 2, 1966, she married Monroe Kemp Jr. in Constantine. They were later divorced.
She had been employed as a Head Start teacher. She was a member of Wasepi Mennonite Chapel and several teachers organizations.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra (Ed) Mercer; a son, Michael (Karren) Kemp; her mother, Juanita Diller; a sister, Cathi Garn-Abbs; a brother, William Garn; grandchildren Drew, Trenton and Natasha Mercer, Elizabeth (Adam) Fodge, and Autumn and Rachael Kemp; great-grandchildren Leea and Carter Fodge; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Miller of Wasepi Mennonite Chapel officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment of cremains in White Pigeon Township Cemetery at a later date.
