Culture Is Not Optional awarded grant

The Three Rivers-based Culture Is Not Optional was awarded a $1,000 grant as the recipient of a promotion by the Three Rivers Area Community Foundation.

Officials from the foundation said the Facebook Grant-off promotion was designed to promote its mission of supporting effective programs and projects that improve the quality of life, while spreading word to local non-profit organizations that its 2013 grant cycle is now open.

Out of the eight area non-profits that received votes on TRACF’s Facebook page during the grant-off, Culture Is Not Optional had the most endorsements.

Foundation officials other Three Rivers-area 501(c) 3 organizations, educational non-profits and government units are encouraged to submit a grant request before the July 30 deadline.
