Mark Pierucki, 58

Mark Annis Pierucki, age 58, passed away Wednesday morning, July 10, 2013, at the home of his care provider Janice and Carroll Parmeter of Marcellus.

Mark was born May 17, 1955, in Sturgis, a son of the late John and Esther (Garn) Pierucki.

Mark spent most of his life on the family farm north of Burr Oak. He attended Pathfinder School in Centreville. He worked for ARCH and later attended NET and Adapt in Sturgis.

Mark loved music and enjoyed playing harmonica and dancing. He also liked to travel and enjoyed spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his sisters, Sharon (Philip) Mitchell and Gatha Pierucki; nephews Todd (Julie) Mitchell and Steven (Tina) Mitchell and niece Jenny Pierucki; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews all of Burr Oak.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by an infant brother, Annis John.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, 479 N. Burr Oak Road, Colon. A funeral Mass will then take place at 11 a.m. at the church, with Fr. Evanson Njogu officiating. Burial will follow at Burr Oak Township Cemetery in Burr Oak.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the Special Olympics of Michigan. Envelopes are available at Schipper Funeral Home in Colon or the church.
