Bob Ripley, age 76, passed away July 19, 2013. Bob lived in Kalamazoo all his life and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. Over the years, he served in the National Guard, was a Kalamazoo police officer, worked as a used car manager at Gilmore Pontiac and he retired from the Upjohn Company. He is survived by his wife Sue (Miller) Ripley, five children: Tom (Jacqueline) Ripley, Molly Ripley, Amy (Fred) Herman, David Ripley and Betsy (Jack) Gesmundo; two sisters: Marilyn (Jack) Rowgo and Linda O’Brien; two step children: Brian (Tamela) Campbell and Kris Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother, Leo and his eldest son, Terry. Everyone who knew or met Bob found that he was an avid fan of Notre Dame. He enjoyed his life to the fullest and he loved to have fun and laugh with his friends and all who were around him. He enjoyed traveling and boating. He was devoted to his two dogs, Heidi and Rusty. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 26 at the Vicksburg United Methodist Church; 217 S. Main Street, Vicksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Three Rivers Health Hospice or Rose Arbor. The family is being served by Life Story Funeral Home: Vicksburg Chapel (649-1697).
