Luella Mae Getzloff, age 88, of Sturgis, Michigan passed away Thursday morning August 1, 2013 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.
She was born April 9, 1925 in South Dakota daughter of the late Raymond and Jane Salvage.
Mrs. Getzloff resided most of her life in Sturgis. On December 31, 1963 she married Charles G. Getzloff, Sr. He died December 7, 1995.
She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker enjoying reading, sewing, going to yard sales and loved time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter: Pamela Leer of Sturgis; two sons: Charles G. Getzloff, Jr. of Sturgis and Michael Lee Wilcox of Hemet, California; three grandchildren: Robert Charles Anteau, Tylynn Denise Anteau and Bradley Michael Wilcox; 11 great grandchildren; one sister: Jean Wordeman of Three Rivers; one brother: Denny Savage of Bronson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband; one daughter: Frances Smith and three sisters: Marilyn Shaft, Betty Babca and Loreen Dane.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-2331. Funeral services celebrating the life of Luella Mae Getzloff will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. A graveside committal will follow the service at the Mendon Cemetery in Mendon.
