Teresa Lee Heiber, age 45, of Sturgis, Mich., passed away Sunday afternoon, Aug. 11, 2013, at her home.
She was born Jan. 11, 1968, in Sturgis, Mich., daughter of Richard and Clara Mae (Metzger) Vargo.
Teresa resided most of her life in the Sturgis area with the exception of the nine years the family lived in Missouri.
On June 29, 1994, she married Marvin Heiber in Centreville.
For the past 11 years she was a dedicated employee at the McDonald’s restaurant in Sturgis. She attended the Sturgis Evangelical Church and enjoyed watching television, Facebook and loved time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin; four daughters, Amanda Huff of Mendon, Kyndra (Kyle) Keller, Tabetha Heiber and Ariel Heiber all of Sturgis; one son, Ridge Heiber of Sturgis; one grandson, Kyson Keller; mother, Clara Mae Green of Coldwater; one sister, Judy Vargo of Sturgis; one brother, Eric Vargo of Quincy and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A memorial service celebrating the life of Teresa Heiber will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sturgis Evangelical Church, 29201 E. Fawn River Rd. in Sturgis. The Rev. Rodger Moyer will officiate.
