Dora Johnson, 96

Dora Louise Johnson, 96, passed away 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 in Navasota, Texas. She was formerly from Three Rivers. She had been declining health for some time. Born Feb. 17, 1917 to the late Lauren Claude Norton and Eva Mearle (Blanchard) Norton. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; two sisters; one step-son, William T. Johnson Jr. She leaves behind three sons, Gerald (JoAnn) Johnson, LeRoy (Mary) Johnson, Dennis Johnson; one brother, Eugene Norton of Barhamsville, Va.; grandchildren, Gerald Johnson Jr., Kathleen Johnson, LeRoy (Vicky) Johnson II, Larry Johnson, Esther (Mark) Robinson; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be Aug. 24 at Corey Church of the Nazarene, 10056 Water St., Three Rivers. Service will be at 11 a.m., Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Rev. Gary Carr will be doing the service. Memorials can be made to the Church. Lunch will be served following the service.
