Clifford J. Hysell Jr., age 82, of Kalamazoo, passed away early Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Heartland Health Care Nursing Home in Three Rivers, MI. He was born on March 3, 1931 in Benton Twp., Michigan the son of the late Clifford Sr. and Ethel (Godacre) Hysell.
Mr. Hysell served his country in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years before retiring. Upon completion of his service he was employed as a postal clerk for the Kalamazoo Post Office before retiring after 27 years of service.
Mr. Hysell was preceded in death by his wife, Cloa; two brothers, Donald and Duane and three sisters, Florence and Ellen, and Mary
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, four children, daughter, Rebecca (Jon) Jacobs, of Three Rivers; sons, Clifford D. (Ann) Hysell, of Nashville, TN, Douglas J. Hysell, of Acapulco, NM, and Richard T. (Kay) Hysell, of Nashville, TN, seven grandchildren, Amber, Joshua, April, T.J., Summerlyn, Connor, and Isabel; five great-grandchildren, Brandon, Paxton, Destiny, Keelie, and Kennedy. Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of graveside services at the Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI. 49093., on Thursday, August 22, 2013.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
