Jim Wheat, 68

James Leland “Buck” Wheat, age 68, of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Nancy Buck Wheat; daughter and son in law, Amy and Tony Page of Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter in law, James (Chip) and Sarah Wheat of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren: Hannah Wheat, Hayden Wheat, Judah Wheat and Casen Page; mother Betty Wheat, brothers: Rick and Sue Wheat, Tom Wheat, David Wheat, Jeff Wheat all of Three Rivers, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father Verle Wheat, sister Linda Terry Wheat, and his mother and father in law: Cyril and Marjorie Buck.

Jim was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and was a 1963 graduate of Three Rivers High School. Jim retired from the US Air Force after 24 years of service as a Chief Master Sergeant, serving mainly in Recruiting service. He was employed with Primerica Financial Services from 1991 to 2006, and has most recently served as a private consultant to various Primerica representatives. He loved hunting and fishing but most of all he loved his grandchildren and his family.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bob Anderson officiating with a luncheon to follow at the church.

Private Burial in Riverside Cemetery, with Military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Hice-Shutes Post #170 and the United States Air Force.
