Pauline “Polly” E. Bardo, age 98, of Bristol, left her home in Bristol and went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 23, 2013. She was born in Three Rivers, MI on October 8, 1914, the daughter of Phillip and Nellie (Worthington) Hoverman. Polly graduated from Bristol High School in 1931. She married Robert Clarin, Sr., in 1937 until his death in 1970. She then married Guy Bardo in 1977, he preceded her in death in 2000. Polly was a homemaker, and loved her family, extended family, and church family. She was known for her yummy pies, and also enjoyed gardening, flowers and crafts. Polly was a member of the American Legion, Mottville for more than 70 years, St. John’s of the Cross Episcopal Church, Bristol, IN and the Camper Ranch Club.
Surviving are her son Robert Clarin, Jr., White Pigeon, granddaughters Delina Speicher, Sturgis, Christine (Eric) Stockbarger, Bristol, Paula Clarin, Kalamazoo, 13 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, and “Itty Bit”, her kitty kat companion. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother Donald Hoverman, daughter-in-law Lola Clarin, infant son Phillip Clarin, grandson Brian Clarin and great great grandson Clifford Hayes.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church, Bristol, IN. at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5th, with Reverend Carol Fleming officiating.
