Christine Hazel Smithers, age 96, of Three Rivers, passed away on Wednesday, October 09, 2013 at the Heartland Health Care Center. She was born in Hollywood, Missouri on November 6, 1916 the daughter of the late Oscar and Oma Travis.
Mrs. Smithers was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Earl Smithers, and her son, William “Bill” Smithers Jr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son, Rick (Jenni) Smithers, of Three Rivers, daughter-in-law, Nancy Smithers; ten grandchildren, Carrie, Sherry, Stephanie, Ricki, Kimberly, Samantha, Justin, Joshua, Will, and Billi Jo (Brian) Smithers and several great grandchildren.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery, with Pastor Brian Lutz, Heartland Hospice Chaplain officiating.
