Burr Oak gets computers

Burr Oak Community Schools recently received 28 Dell Computers and 68 Dell monitors thanks to a donation from Glen Oaks Community College.

According to Bruce Zakrzewski, dean of finance and administrative services, the college recently purchased 22 Apple iMac computers for use in the school’s new graphic design program which kicked off this fall.

He said Glen Oaks was committed to finding a new home for the surplus computer systems and worked with the St. Joseph County Schools Information Services, who identified the need at Burr Oak Community Schools.

Tera McClish, systems analyst for St. Joseph County Schools, said that the donated computers will be first used to upgrade the existing teacher computer stations in classrooms at Burr Oak.
