Hattie C. King, age 90, of Constantine, died Thursday Nov. 7, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Avon, IN. She was born in Saginaw, MI on Jan. 25, 1923 the daughter of Howard and Helen (Watson) Hagerman. The family later moved to Three Rivers where she graduated from Three Rivers High School. She was married to Herbert R. King in Three Rivers on April 19, 1941. Hattie was a homemaker and farm wife, and had been a resident of Constantine since 1969.
Hattie is survived by two children, James (Rosemary) King of Vicksburg and Ruth Ellen (Harry) Guess of Avon, IN; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild on the way; a brother, Robert (Marsha) Hagerman; two sisters, Elaine Bye and Dorothy Hagerman; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert in 2006; seven brothers and sisters; and a great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 12, 2013 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jay Bailey of the Three Rivers Bible Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
