Corey Draime, 27

Corey Michael Draime, age 27, a lifelong Sturgis resident, passed away early Sunday morning, Oct. 27, 2013, due to injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was born Aug. 23, 1986, in Sturgis, a son of Kyle Draime and Kathleen (Merkle) Draime.

Corey had worked several local jobs and was very interested in electronics, enjoyed watching movies and was talented with cell phones.

Surviving are a daughter, Alana Draime of Sturgis; father, Kyle Draime of Centreville; mother, Kathleen Draime of Sturgis; sister, Caleen Draime of Sturgis; brothers, Joshua Webster of Three Rivers and Cody Draime of Centreville; grandparents, Chuck and Shirley Draime and Donald Merkle and Charlotte Merkle-Parisot; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and one nephew.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating the life of Corey Michael Draime will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Sturgis Church of the Nazarene, with The Rev. John Shoup officiating.

The family suggest memorial donations be directed to Hackman Family Funeral Home – Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Road, Sturgis, MI 49091 to help with expenses.
