Robert Brandebury, 70

Robert L. Brandebury, age 70, of Sturgis, Mich., passed away early Sunday morning, Nov. 17, 2013, at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.

He was born April 30, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, son of the late Warren and Hazel (Rhoades) Brandebury.

Mr. Brandebury resided in Sturgis since 1964 coming from Grand Rapids.

He was a truck driver by trade and retired from Americraft Carton Company in Sturgis following six years of employment.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and enjoyed fishing, lure making, coffee time with his friends and loved time spent with his family.

Mr. Brandebury is survived by one daughter, Kim (Jerry) Boecker of Constantine; one son, Tom (Janelle) Brandebury of Sturgis; five grandchildren, Danielle, Derek, Michelle, Michael and Linsey; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Damien and Leighton.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family to remember Robert Brandebury will take place from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes – Rosenberg Chapel, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091, 269-651-3284.
