James Deale, 86

James Willie Deale, age 86, of Mendon, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his home following a brief illness.

James was one of eight children born to Mr. Willie Deale and Mrs. Hattie Deale on August 18, 1927  in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

James later moved with his family to Chicago, Illinois where he graduated from Du Sable High School.  Immediately after high school he joined the U.S Army. He was a paratrooper and a truck driver during World War II. After leaving the Army, he worked for the United States Postal Service, where he retired after 31years of service.

James accepted Christ as his savior at an early age.

James loved to travel and work with his hands. He loved to listen to jazz music and one of his favorites was Grover Washington, Jr.  He was a very kind hearted man who touched the lives of many people and only saw the saw the best in people.

He now joins his seven other siblings and parents and wife Frances.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his children Larry Deale (Willie), of Georgia; Sharon Deale of Georgia; Karen Deale of Mississippi; Larry Bobbitt of Chicago; Starisha (Jack) of Three Rivers; Abraham of Three Rivers; Norma Rae of Three Rivers and Lenore Borden of Constantine. He also leaves a host of nieces and nephews; grand children; great grand children and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26th, 2013 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Kirouac officiating.

Interment will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
