John Henry Coffman, age 76, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bridgeport, Alabama on June 25, 1937 the son of the late Levi and Edna (Lawson) Coffman.
On Jan. 25, 1963 John married the love of his life, Dianne Marie Forton. They lived in Portage, Michigan until the late 1990’s before making their home in Three Rivers. He enjoyed living in the country, being outdoors in his garden, and his animals, especially his dogs and cats. John enjoyed his morning coffee at The Dairy Bar, Main Street Café, and Oasis where he enjoyed meeting and talking with new and old friends. John’s true love were his family and spending much time with his children and grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and seven brothers.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 50 years, Dianne M. Coffman, of Three Rivers; one daughter, Sheroyl (John) Kirby, of Three Rivers; two sons, Rob Coffman, of Schoolcraft, and Rick Coffman, of White House, OH.; one sister, Glenda (Paul) McCarver, of Bridgeport, AL.; five grandchildren, Faith and Caleb Kirby, Steven (Jen)Coffman, Amber (T.J.) Smith and Kristen Coffman; one great grandson, Landon .
Private family services will be held. John’s family asks that friends and family honor John by carrying on his love for others by doing random acts of kindness in their community.
