Doug Humbert, director of the Three Rivers Clean Water Plant, said the 13 inches of snow on the ground Monday equaled the highest amount this month.
Humbert provided a tabulation of January’s temperatures and snowfall totals, which showed through Tuesday, the average high temperature was 22 degrees, the average low was 5. The extremes showed a high of 46 Jan. 14 and a low of 16-below Jan. 7.
A temperature of zero degrees or lower has been recorded 10 of the first 28 days of the month.
The greatest single-day snowfall in Three Rivers was Jan. 6, when 12 inches were recorded. Humbert said the January snowfall total through Tuesday has been 44.9 inches.
