Cindy Lynn Doyle, age 63, of Three Rivers, died Monday Jan. 27, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born in Monroe, MI on July 24, 1950 the daughter of John and Betty (Miller) Doyle. She graduated from Start High School in 1968, attended Sienna Heights College and later received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. For over 30 years Cindy worked for the Family Independence Agency, now known as Department of Human Services for the State of Michigan, where she supervised foster care and adoption services. She was honored with the St. Joseph County Liberty Bell award on Law Day in 1985. She also was the recipient of the Commissioner’s Award in 1998, and was recognized by then Michigan Governor, John Engler. In her spare time she enjoyed ceramics, sewing, and gardening.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Aja (Michael) Levine of Miami, FL; two granddaughters, Violet June Levine and Ruby Juliet Levine; her mother, Betty Ritchey of Toledo, OH; four brothers, John Doyle, Jr. and Tom Ritchey both of Toledo, OH and Tim (Lisa) Doyle and Pat Doyle both of Petersburg, MI; step-mother, Lola Doyle of Petersburg, MI; aunt, Shirley Cox of Toledo, OH; nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, John Doyle.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday Feb. 7, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Three Rivers with Rev. Mark Pawlowski, retired officiating. It is suggested that memorial donations be directed to the hospice of your choice.
